Paul Michael O'Connor and Timothy Bubel of Tame Rabbit Media Partners are excited to announce this upcoming Self Tape Workshop with casting director Roni Hummel!

As a working film production company, Tame Rabbit spends a lot of time on the other side of the camera — directing actors, building scenes, shaping performances, lighting faces, choosing lenses and creating images that allow a performance to come through.

This workshop takes that real-world production experience and applies it specifically to the self-tape audition process, while Roni brings the perspective of someone who actually watches, evaluates and casts actors.

Self-tapes are now a major part of auditioning, but actors are often left trying to figure out both the performance and technical sides on their own:

This full-day workshop will break down the self-tape process from both the casting and professional filmmaking sides of the camera.

We’ll cover:

We’ll also build a self-tape setup live during the workshop and use actors from the class to demonstrate how changes in performance, reader placement, framing, lighting and audio affect the finished audition.

The goal isn’t to make your self-tape look like a movie.

The goal is to make it easy for casting to see you, hear you and connect with your performance.
